How can I easily export my Revit model to a PDF file to share with others.
The best choice is actually Bluebeam Revu as it also allows you to collaborate on the PDF with multiple users simultaneously with mark-up functions. You can get a 30 day trial of the CAD version (necessary to work with the Revit Plug-In from http://www.bluebeam.com/us/partners/network/hagen/cad/ 4 More Answers

Hey Alan, editting an IFC element doesn't imply meyhem... you can move them around to your hearts content, and if they are composed of a typical archicad object, you can edit to the heart is content. Where you run into trouble is if the object is a particular manufacturers product and you change it, well, it'snot really their product anymore... 8 More Answers
This isn't showing up in the elevations. It does show up in plan. I have verified that plumbing fixtures, furniture and special equipment is showing in all view templates. It is listed as a plumbing fixture.
Is this a Acad 3d file imported to Revit family file? If so, make sure it was imported to show up in all views.

Standing Seam roofs drive me nuts. I have read a lot of forums. Nowhere can I find accurate information on that. Any help will be appreciated.
I guess it depends on how specific you want it to look. I use a material called Roofing - Metal Standing Seam that I set to use an ootb Relief Pattern called Standing.Seam.png to control the Render Appearance, and a simple Model Surface Pattern called Standing Seam - 16" (etc.) to control it's graphics for Plans and Elevations, and it works g...
Hi Bodunde, you will have to download the file first before you can use it in Revit.

Hi matthew, not currently at this stage. However that would be a great idea! Feel free to send any other ideas through and we can look at adding them to our road map.

I want to produce some high end renders from my ArchiCAD models so am looking for a piece of software to achieve this. I've got it down to either Cinema 4D or Artlantis but can't decide, what have others used?
If you want the easy road, Artlantis is the way to go. Cinema 4D offers more features than Artlantis, but Artlantis is easier to learn & use and runs super fast. You can do quick radiosity renderings using the Artlantis rendering engine (which, in many situations, may be all you'll ever need to do), plus in Artlantis you've also got the o... 1 More Answer

I was working on a revit family yesterday and this morning, when I opened the file. I have the error - "Attempted to access ''FileName.rfa'' past its end".
Your file is corrupt, and this is one of the worst errors to see since there is nothing you can do to restore it. You can try to send the file to Autodesk to recover, but it probably won't work. Your best bet is to rely on the latest back-up that will open successfully, and continue from there. If you don't have a back-up, you must start over...

Armorers created blackened steel in the Renaissance with linseed oil. They heated the steel and applied the oil in much the same fashion described by "grahame-white" above. It probably is a little less toxic than old motor oil, and because it requires multiple applications, allows for a broad color range of "blackening" . 4 More Answers
