Wooden floors are part of the elements that make a house to look exquisite. The installation procedures for wooden floors require the expertise of professionals. This is because; the processes involved are delicate and require an individual to practice extra care.
Laminated wood floors are some of the most popular materials that are used for flooring. They can be nailed, or glued with mastic to any wooden subfloors. However, many do not require there be a subfloor and can be glued directly on the concrete. In addition to this, it is always important for the persons installing the wooden floors to check whether the cement meets the specifications required to glue the wooden materials.

For below grade applications, it is recommended that a floating floor be used.
For it to be easier to glue the wooden products on the floor, there are recommendations of 1/4 to 3/8 inches parquet tiles or planks. This is because; having longer strips could make it difficult to straighten them with glue. This method of using glue is called the glue down method and it should be used on concrete slabs. To get started, the glue is spread on a particular area of the floor, which is usually of specific measurements, coinciding with the dimensions of wooden boards to be laid. Then the boards are laid one by one until the glued area is covered. The adhesive is then poured on another area and the process repeated.
The next method is nailing. Prior to installing the wood, the humidity around the room should be controlled since high humidity can damage the wooden floor after some time.

To begin, mark the locations of joists on the walls so that the starting and ending points which require face nailing can be nailed into joists. To prevent moisture from reaching the wood from below, cover the subfloor with asphalt paper. The wooden boards should be installed at right angles to the floor joists, starting from the straightest existing wall. Measure out from this wall leaving space about ¾ inches to allow for expansion. Mark a chalk line at these measured locations parallel to the starting wall, which will be the starting line for placing the first row of the floor. Place the first board along the chalk line with the tongue facing you. Make holes at 6 inches intervals and drive 1 inch nails through them, and fill the area with suitable wood filler. Next drill holes along the tongue side of the board at an interval of six inches.

Following the above steps, fix the rest of the first row's boards. Next, fit the groove of the new board into the tongue of the previous row and create other holes on the tongue side and repeat for the rest of the rows. For the last 5 rows, nailing is done manually. The end row is nailed just like the first row with 6 inches intervals and leaving another ¾ inches expansion gap.
Following these steps for both methods will give that desired neatly laid wooden floor.
