What is a Commercial Traction Lift (CT-Lift)?
This is a lift that falls under the codes related to accessibility in North America (CSA B355 and ASME A18.1) but has the look at feel of a full elevator.
The most significant feature that differentiates between a "Lift" and an "Elevator" is the requirement for a lift to be "constant pressure".
This means that, in order for the platform to move either up or down, a user must hold the control button either at the landings or while on board continuously but the platform will come to a stop at the landing automatically....no fear of overshooting the landing!
