Island Ottoman
Islands is a system of seating furniture designed by renowned French designer Jean-Marie Massaud. With Islands Jean-Marie Massaud wants to reformulate public interiors such as waiting areas and lobbies. In order to achieve this Massaud has created a flexible and functional furniture system that easily can be adjusted to different surroundings and contexts. Islands creates the feeling of small islands or coral reefs and provides space for informal meetings, while shielding the people sitting on an 'island' from those sitting on the adjacent 'islands' with the help of different materials and different heights.
Frame in plywood and solid wood with coald foam wrapped in flameproof fiber. Fully upholstered in fabric or leather. Standard leather Elmo Nordic. Chromed legs.
