London Aquatics Centre for 2012 Summer Olympics

The design for this building was inspired by hydro-dynamics, the fluidity of water and the surrounding riverside Olympic Park in London.

Inspired by the heron, this building has some roof faces that slope down to form outdoor spaces. The ceiling is believed to be the largest in the world made from discarded wood.

A multi-layered facade comprised of steel, concrete and other materials wrap the exterior of this stadium built for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

A white double wall curved membrane covers the shooting ranges along with brightly colored openings that also function as ventilation.
