Edgar J. Kaufmann Sr. (the owner of Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater) commissioned Richard Neutra to design his vacation home to get away from the cold during the winters. While Wright was famous for using earthy tones and materials, Neutra by contrast, used international style where glass, steel and stone were infused into the design of this house. The organization of the house is logical where the center houses the living area, while the private areas are situated around the center, almost like a pinwheel.
