This file was uploaded by one of our community members that only created the file in Vectorworks. If we had uploaded this content directly, then it would have been done in the 8 main formats that we use.
One way we found to export / import was as following:
In VectorWorks, "Export DWG". In Sketchup, Import "ACAD Files (*.dwg, *.dxf)"
1. Before the Export in Vectorworks, put the model in " Top View". This way the model will come in to SketchUp on axis.
2. In the SketchUp Import window, before import, choose "ACAD Files (*.dwg, *.dxf)" in the pulldown menu, then click the "Options" button and make sure the Geometry checkbox is checked for "Merge Coplaner Surfaces". Otherwise the model will come in with lots of triangulated plane surfaces.
Thank you for the info.
I don't have Vectorworks at the moment. Only SketchUp and Draftsight installed.
I'll see if i can find a way for that. Or, perhaps just model it based on the image.
