Deeply saddened by the death of Zaha Hadid. She was a true inspiration for architects and women around the world. Her incredible work has won her many awards some of them being the Evelyn Grace Academy, Maxxi Museum and Heydar Aliyev Cultural Centre.

is not her buildings that inspire me, is the self Zaha Hadid with her thinking to think in the impossible forms and transform it in concrete (literally)

First time i took notice of dame Hadid was i believe 1983 when i checked out the journal of AA student work @ the UofO where we had provided some important tutors like Rick Mather and later the current head of the diploma studies program Brett Steele (who worked with Zaha in the early years producing detailed solutions to her fabulous paintings and creations). The first work i saw was a project depicting a set of building forms arrayed as a "train-wreck" I don't have the journal anymore but i do recall Rem Koolhaus being somehow involved . From then on i was tuned into her stuff! I recall fondly seeing the GA monograph on the Peak project - stunning stuff . . . she will be missed.

Jorge, I absolutely agree with you. It's not just her buildings, she herself inspires us.

Zaha Hadid's death was shocking and a huge loss to the architectural world. She has been an inspirational figure to many of us & I loved her style. Some of my favorites are Heydar Aliyev Museum & the design of Grace on Coronation.
